Viola Masterclass with Toby Appel
Join us for a viola masterclass featuring world-renowned violist and educator Toby Appel! He has performed globally as a soloist and chamber musician, including appearances at the White House and the United Nations. Currently a faculty member at The Juilliard School, he brings decades of elite pedagogical and performance experience to this session. Toby Appel will be teaching some of our Conservatory viola students, working with them on their repertoire regarding technique and musicality. All are welcome to attend, and admission is free; a suggested donation of $20 helps to support our masterclass series and program.
Community Art and Music Day
HOSTED JOINTLY BY PETERSON SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND CITY ACADEMY
Our Community Art and Music Day will include food trucks, school open houses, and more!

Intermountain Suzuki String Institute Gala
A Night with Yoshika Masuda will be held in Holladay and host an intimate concert featuring acclaimed cellist Yoshika Masuda in support of music education and the next generation of young musicians. Admission is complimentary, and the evening will benefit the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute and the students, teachers, and families they serve.

Violin Masterclass with Itamar Zorman
PSM presents a violin masterclass with internationally acclaimed violinist Itamar Zorman, Gold Medalist of the International Tchaikovsky Competition and Associate Professor of Violin at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Several PSM violinists will perform and receive coaching in this public masterclass, offering audiences a unique opportunity to observe the artistic and educational process firsthand.
All are welcome to attend! Admission is free. A suggested donation of $20 helps support Peterson School of Music programs.
Piano Masterclass with Dr. Liza Stepanova
We are excited to welcome Dr. Liza Stepanova, Associate Professor of Piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, for a piano masterclass with our Conservatory students. Dr. Stepanova will be listening to some of our students perform and guiding them on elements of technique and artistry. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. A suggested donation of $20 helps to support our masterclass series and program.
Avenues Street Fair
Come see us at the Avenues street fair. We will have our instrument petting zoo and performances all day.

Mountain View Winter Songfest Showcase
Come see the progress of our violins and general music over the past year.
SAU Celebration Concert
This performance will include our GRIT violins and PSM Suzuki students.
GRIT summer camp
We are excited to offer 5 days of music-making, creativity, collaboration, games, and artistic exploration for our students. Camp activities will include ensemble playing, musicianship, rhythm and movement activities, creative projects, outdoor games, and community-building experiences in a supportive environment.
Florestan Festival 2026
An evening of musical storytelling, featuring works by the Danish String Quartet, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Franz Schubert — performed by Shenae Akagi and Erika Hubbard, violins, Madison Marshall, viola, and Mira Larson, cello.
Deer Valley Music Festival
Peterson School of Music has been invited to perform with Time for Three at the Deer Valley Music Festival. We are so excited for this wonderful opportunity!
Dr. Sun-A Park Master Class
During this masterclass, Dr. Park will be working with several of our piano students on pieces by Schumann, Chopin, Glinka, and more. We encourage all students, families, and friends to attend!

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration as our talented chamber ensembles perform masterpieces from the classical repertoire.
Jazz Jam Session
Join us at Peterson School of Music to learn the art of improvisation, improve your jazz repertoire, and join a creative community! We meet monthly and are always excited to have new members of our group. All instruments (and voices) welcome! Bring a friend.
