Chamber Music
Chamber music is perfect for students ages 8 through adults in Suzuki book level 5 (or the equivalent) and above who are looking for a small group musical experience. We also welcome the larger community; students need not be taking private lessons through Peterson School of Music. Discover the joy of collaborative music-making! Our chamber music classes offer a unique opportunity for instrumentalists to enhance their skills, explore diverse repertoire, and connect with fellow musicians in an intimate and supportive setting. Each weekly class includes one of our expert faculty coaching the chamber group for 50 minutes, followed by a 30-minute individual rehearsal in which students strengthen their collaborative and independent group practice skills.
Unleash your inner artist and experience the magic of chamber music!

Students are permitted one (1) absence per semester. The consistent presence of all ensemble members is essential to everyone’s learning experience.
-
Students need to arrive with their own part prepared, with the help of the private instructor if necessary. Students also should be familiar with the other ensemble parts, studying the full score (provided along with individual part by the coach). It is essential that students attend consistently and work on their part on a regular basis, as well as listen to recordings (when available) of the piece.

“We feel lucky to have found this school two years ago. At first, our kids were just in children’s choir, but we later added voice, violin, and piano lessons. All the teachers are top notch!”
