Conservatory curriculum

The comprehensive classes in the curriculum of the Conservatory at Peterson School of Music includes instruction in Music Theory, Music History, Music Listening Contest, Performance Class, Forum, Chamber Music and Ensembles (Orchestra, Choir, Guitar Ensemble, and Piano Ensemble). Students also have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned guest artists in masterclass throughout the year.

There are opportunities for collaboration with local arts organizations including the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera and Ballet West. Students also regularly perform in the community for outreach events, sharing music at local schools, community centers, libraries, senior living facilities, and more.
