Biography
Director of Chamber Music, past Faculty Council Chair, conservatory chamber coach and viola sectional coach. Faculty and chamber coach at Brigham Young University; teaching private lessons, Music 406 String Literature, Music 467 Violin & Viola Pedagogy, Music 367 Studio Practicum, along with Graduate level classes on demand. Past Director of Chamber Music and ensemble coach at the Academy of Music Northwest (Seattle’s premier classical music academy for young performers). Performances throughout Europe, United States and Canada as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra member. And also an active freelance and studio recording musician. Dr. Morgan is an avid proponent for new music and has had several world solo premieres. Active chamber musician and former member of the Rhapsonic Piano Trio. She has also performed chamber music with great artists like pianist Menahem Pressler (of the Beaux Arts Trio) and violinist Alex Treger (former Los Angeles Phil Concertmaster). Past guest instructor at the University of Washington. Awarded a graduate assistantship working with the Primrose International Viola Archive (PIVA) and has had several research related articles published including her doctoral dissertation: The William Primrose Transcriptions: His Rise to Eminence, on which subject she lectured at Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles June 2018.
